      The passing of my mom

Dear Seishindo Community,

My mom passed away peacefully on Wednesday night December 9th.
I was with her at the end, and it was an experience filled with great love and deep sharing.

I am doing fine, and we had a lovely service for my mom this last Saturday.

I have a number of new stories about my Japanese friends, already written, but wanted to use this particular newsletter as a space of silence.

Life is short. Please do your best to appreciate every moment.

With love,
Charlie
