Charlie Badenhop

I am a native New Yorker and have been working as a coach, bodyworker, hypnotherapist, and workshop facilitator since 1985, when I first arrived in Japan.

I am a fourth degree black belt and certified instructor of Aikido in Japan, and a certified trainer in NLP and Ericksonian Hypnosis. I am also a long term practitioner of various forms of bodywork, Self-relations therapy, the Japanese healing arts of sei tai and seiki jutsu, and Yoga.

Charlie Badenhop

I've had the good fortune to study with numerous exceptional teachers, healers, martial artists, therapists, and coaches throughout the world. I have created the human potential discipline of Seishindo as a synthesis of all I’ve learned along the way.

Based on what my clients want and need, I utilize a mixture of hypnosis, somatic coaching, bodywork, biofeedback, mindfulness practices, and NLP in my private sessions. I strive to work in a manner that is sensitive, intuitive, empathic, and profound.

Having needed to process many challenges in my own life, it’s my passion to assist you in doing the same. I'd like to help you rekindle the spirit of your emotional and physical well-being, so you can recognize, and embody, your true heart’s desires.

My teaching style and work with individuals is known for its magic, depth of experience, and celebration of life. I weave together theory, poetry, music, practical applications, and a clear sense of reconnecting to one's core identity.

Dorothy Pietracatella

Dorothy Pietracatella has had a distinguished career as an opera singer and is highly skilled in various forms of bodywork and mind body disciplines. She is a somatic therapist with expertise in Brain Gym. Polarity therapy, Seishindo, Cell memory healing, Sound healing, Somatic Experiencing, and other trauma work.

Dorothy has a private practice in New York City and Washington DC and is currently giving Sound Healing Workshops with Master Drummer Toby Christensen.

Dorothy offers a warm yet powerful presence to the Seishindo work, and she has been supporting Charlie in his workshops for the last four years.

In describing her work, Dorothy says:
"The knowledge I have from all the modalities I have trained in, forms the foundation for my own work, which I have yet to name. At times, I feel like I have X-ray vision and can see what is happening in the brain or body. I somehow have been blessed with an ability to feel and see things that happen in the person’s body and in their external energy field as well. I am always looking for something to come through, surface, and emerge, from the unconscious intelligence of the client, the Spirit, and myself.

My sense of seeing and feeling I believe comes from a deeply resonant state of being present in and open to the moment, believing that everything is possible, right here and now.

I look at my client and do not focus on what is wrong or right. Instead, I ask myself these questions: “What is wanting to come through?” “What is the unfulfilled longing the person is carrying with them?” “What aspect of the person wants to be seen, and what is emerging?” I invite the deepest expression of my client to emerge, and I trust our deeper intuitive selves to move us towards greater health and well-being. My work is intuitive, psychic, and grounded in a great deal of life experience, and extensive trauma training.

Early on in my career, I was with a client who was just leaving a 34yr. marriage. She felt bruised, battered incapable of making decisions and very close to shutting down. She was in great pain in her body and psyche and in the midst of a major depression. Every part of me responded to her need, and I realized that the most important gift I could give her at that time, was to help her live one day with the feeling that everything was going to be OK. That was my unstated intention for my client during our session together, and she reported later that she found herself feeling energetic and positive the rest of the day, and this gave her the hope and the will to move forward into her new future. I realized then that my intuitive seeing and the strength of my intention could create powerful healing.

I encourage my clients to move into a resonant feeling state, which comes when they become present, and make contact with themselves, their surroundings, and those that they are in relationship with. This state, which I call Embodied Presence, is a state of great healing, and insight.

Although I have had extensive training in many modalities, and many forms of bodywork, but when it is all said and done, my work is deeply intuitive, and I go wherever I feel that Spirit leads me to. I find that I am able to tune into the resonant field that envelops myself and the client, and once entering into such resonance, discovering that all change is possible.

I believe the experience of being present moment by moment is the doorway for change and transformation."

Drew Lebby

Drew Lebby is the founding partner of The Performance Group, a management consulting firm that assists organizations in maximizing their investment in large-scale change.

All too often systemic change threatens the power and identity of those responsible for producing results. Their resistance disrupts the natural balance necessary to the operation of high performing, self-monitoring communities.

The use of the term community recognizes that many people today require a supportive emotional dimension to the workplace as a condition of personal commitment. Community describes an environment in which the complex set of organizational and individual behaviors that result in the creation of products and services are grounded in actions that signal dignity and respect both to the customer and to the performer. Drew Lebby’s work is about the conscious redesign of community.

Significant examples of this conscious redesign of communities include assisting US Sprint, the United States Secret Service, Coopers & Lybrand, AT&T, HealthCare Partners Medical Group, the towns of Suffield, Conn., Shaker Heights, and Cleveland Heights, Ohio, the Michigan Education Association, the American Association of School Administrators, and the US Civil Rights Commission. In each case, efforts were focused on a reformation of strategic vision at the most senior levels, a redefinition of how work is done, and the integration of a wide range of human resource and education functions to produce a highly effective environment based on trust and honesty.

Additional clients include Nestle USA, General Electric, the National Education Association, the New Museum, Anderson Consulting, AIPAC, Fidelity Investments, The American Medical Group Association, Motorola, and NBC, among others.
