Seishindo Life Coaching workshop for performance artists

Tuning Your Instrument

Manhattan, New York City, April 24, 2004, 9.30am-6.30pm

As a coach, public speaker, singer, actor, dancer, athlete, or instrumentalist, learn how to tune your body, spirit, beliefs, and technique, to elicit a performance that touches peoples hearts and moves them to action. This is a new Seishindo workshop that we premiered in February of this year, and people came away really excited by what they had learned.

If you are a performance artist of any kind, I’m sure you strive to touch the hearts and emotions of your audience. For magical moments to occur, you need to live fully in your body and leave behind your internal dialogue and everyday concerns. In short you need to “tune your instrument” to the heart of your audience.

In this workshop you will enter into an austere theater of every day life, and:

  • Understand more about how your body and psyche are designed to best work together.
  • Improve the mechanics of what you do by learning how to effort less, in order to express more.
  • Embue your performances with greater spirit.
  • Achieve a state of relaxed confidence.

When your posture, muscle tone, breathing, and actions are all in alignment, you find that your spirit is released and your outpouring of emotion deeply affects those in your presence.

Please come and experience what it feels like inside yourself, when your performance touches the hearts of all those around you, and evokes a standing ovation.
