Integrate
your intellect and your emotions, your need for love, and your fears
The
Body of TendernessThe Body of Fear, The Wisdom of Love
A
three-day Seishindo Life Coaching workshop in Washington DC, April
16 - 18, 2004 |
Have you ever noticed how your intellect often plays an inconsequential
role in determining the quality of your emotional life? Like when you
try to tell yourself you "shouldn't" be feeling rejected and
angry, or when you "swear" that you are going to stop smoking
or go on a diet. Well indeed, as your everyday experience often shows,
the domain of intellect and the domain of emotion reside on two separate
islands. No matter how much your rational mind thinks you "should"
do something, you will not accomplish your goal without the consent of
your limbic brain and your somatic intelligence. Such is the life of human
beings. We have intellect AND emotions, but we often struggle to integrate
the two.
- Make more "sense" of your emotions by bridging the body
over to the thinking mind
- Release and dissolve your fears by rekindling your tenderness
- Bring a greater sense of respect and empowerment into your life
- Feel greater confidence in entering into loving, supportive relationships
- Come to recognize and identify with, The Wisdom of Love
- Profoundly change the way you perceive and appreciate: Your selfThe
people you are in relationship withThe life challenges you face.
As
an individual wanting more from your life or a trained professional wanting
to add to your current professional skills learn how to:
- Release excess emotional energy trapped in the body as fear and longing
- Awaken to and acknowledge your dignity, dreams, and desires
- Live your life and share your skills, with a greater sense of kindness
and vitality
- Comprehend the language of emotion
- Work wisely with core issues such as deteriorating health, destructive
habit patterns, and strained personal relationships
